i figured out a way to update my blog from work. suh-weeeet.

#974597 things I love: sticking it to the man!

so I decided I'm going to do a new thing every time I post. Roses to things I like and thorns to things that suck. got it?

well, i went home this weekend to dog sit the world's worst dog. mr. puggles was so bad for me! he only wanted to eat peacock shit. ate like 5 piles of it. would search out the peacock shit like deliberately because i was telling him not to eat it. and then he kept getting out of his gates. he only wanted to sleep on my back on friday night and then decided it was puppy play time at 6AM. on saturday, we were out by the pool and he thought it'd be cool to run around on the garage rooftop, you know, possibly drop like 20 feet to his death. not cool, dog. THORNS to mr. puggles. THORNS.

and for my roses, it will have to be time with old friends that i never get to see anymore. over the weekend i hung out with emily and andrew by the pool and then went to see the proposal. the movie was good but i preferred just chilling with them talking over actually doing something with them. odd, but i missed them. and with my bachelorette coming up, i'll get to see more old friends. that should be so much fun. ROSES to friends :D

another thing that gets roses, is HARRY POTTER tomorrow. I cannot wait. currently, it is 39 hours and 27 minutes away. and eddie stroma, the guy playing cormac mclaggen... he gets a whole bouquet of roses himself because he's such a hottie. please see for yourself.normally i don't agree with perez hilton's drawings on pictures, but for once he draws the truth. for reals. ROSES all around to HP and the HBP!

now enough with flowers. i'm going to list what's new in my life.

1. got a cute new addition to the family - Colby the skinny kitty! he's four years old and just so cute. Thomas and him get along great (thank God)
2. most of the wedding plans are finished. just working on invitations, the program, and booking that honeymoon! vacation time was approved so two weeks off! woot! (ok, I lied, I'm not done with flowers. vacation time... that gets a rose!)
3. wedding dress fitting tomorrow night. i have my shoes, purse, and possible jewelry. now to just figure out my hair. maybe i should do it myself in a sort of style to get the gist of what to expect. hmmm.

and yeah, now i think i should go back to work and actually do something i'm suppose to : /

well, life has sure been interesting in the past few weeks. I've had a few job interviews and was offered one job. I took it back to my job where they made me a counter offer and pretty much let me name my price and they said ok, done. it was awesome and so well worth it, it just sucks that I had to go through all that trouble of sending out my resume 92394723497 times to get what I deserved for the past, oh, seven months?! ever since then I've been a bit happier though because mostly I know I'm going to get to give away the crap aspects of my job that I don't like.

as for the wedding, we've made some progress. Andy and I had our cake tasting and picked our cake. it's going to be cute. it's a filigree design, mostly white, with a little bit of purple color that is almost the same color purple as the bridesmaids dresses. also, we had our flower appointment and that is just ridiculous. they are going to look good but it's just insane how everything gets so costly when you mention the word "wedding" or "funeral" people rape you, your wallet, and anyone else in the near area when they hear those words.

in other words... I designed a sweet program for the wedding. all by myself. I plan to print it at work, muhahahaha, whenever... probably September. oh, also for the wedding I booked a contract for a hotel. Now I need to find transport from the hotel to the venue that is not like 1 grand. ridiculous.

all of this makes me wish we could just elope but now we are way too far in to do that now.

it does not feel like it is July. the weather is gross but not gross like typical July weather. in fact, South Jersey had an earthquake yesterday... yeah, South Jersey! I have never seen so much rain in all my life. It rains like everyday. Thankfully it hasn't yet today but the forecast all day was thunder storms. grateful for it to have been sunny but man, there's been maybe like 5 clear days since May? I don't really think that is that much an exaggeration to be honest.

in other news, I am getting another cat tomorrow! the name is Colby and I'm rescuing it from a coworker who had her boyfriend move in with her and he is deathly allergic. she was going to have to give him to the SPCA if no one would take him and I knew she was having a hard time finding a home so I agreed to take him. didn't really have to twist my arm to be honest. he is four years old, supposedly skinny, and black and white :) sounds super cute. I keep telling the fat boy that he's getting a friend tomorrow but I don't think he understands.

and kind of stemming off of this, my boss, Milla, told me that there are such things as pet psychologists that counsel your animals. her friend does this for her dog after they got divorced because the dog was suffering from anxiety disorder. that, my friends, must be the most bullshit job in the existence of jobs. and I kind of want to do it. like what do you do in session, just talk to him and are like yeah, I really thinkg we're making a breakthrough. ridic.

alright, going to go and sweat to death watching CSI Miami, my second favorite ginger. (first being Thomas, of course :D )

ok so this update is strictly because i'm bored and don't know what else to do with myself while andy is asleep. that man can sleep like rip van winkle.

but yeah, i've exhausted twitter and facebook, mostly because no one in their right mind has their biological clock set to grandma. i tried playing with thomas but all he wants to do is be lazy and sleep. go figure.

so i'm ordering the invitations soon. i need to call tomorrow and ask to see how long it will take but yeah, that's a bit exciting. here's an example of what it will sort of look like. mine is personalized from this, obvi.


so yeah. now all i really need is to settle the photographer debacle. me vs. mother round 972492734. i have a feeling she'll win because it's her wedding and all. makes sense. and it's her money that's paying for it. lemme check on that. johnny says no!

so, it's been a while. i'm not good at this whole blog thing just yet.

i was thinking about what i should write about in here... my only real thought was peanut butter and how amazing it is and for me to just write all the different ways it's fabulous but then realized truly no one would read this then.

seriously, i'm going at midnight, i don't care if i'm 23 and andy thinks i'm a lunatic. i probably am. get over it.

as for in my life, the apt. is coming along. thomas, the fattie, manages to keep finding hiding spots which is amazing because he's large and there's not that many spots to hide. kind of makes me nervous.

we went out last night with one of my sorostitute sorority sisters that lives in the area... the bars were a bit meh. all seemed to be dead. most likely because of the bike race that's going on this weekend and the nonstop blockparty that shuts down the town. but yeah, we were out for like an hour or two and some and andy was being a party pooper so we left and decided to walk back... which ended up being over a mile when he mapped it when we got home. lemme check on the fun status on the funometer. yeah, scoring a big fat ZERO. oh well, we did it and probably wouldn't be a bad walk if it wasn't at 1230AM and we like knew the area a bit? whatever, dunzo with it.
